Luciana Paoluzzi was raised at home in Rome with her parents. Luciana Paoluzzi's father is an Italian Army officer, and Maria Rota Paoluzzi's mother was a former mistress to Benito Mussolini. There are no known siblings. Luciana studied at a local school before matriculating into the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of only two women in the class.
