Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese descent and lived during the war in Vietnam. Her father Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family that has strong roots in the South of America. Olivia was two years old when she was divorced from her parents. She is now raised by her mother and stepfather. He is a United States Air Force soldier. They left Oklahoma, and lived in various locations, however she spent most of her life in Tokyo. The actress was a part of local stage productions in this time as well as becoming a models for the Japanese industry. Olivia relocated from her home in the United States back to Los Angeles to pursue the dream of becoming an actor. Following a handful of small performances in her professional career, she took an extremely promising direction when she landed the role of Mily Acuna in Hawaii's lensed television series Beyond the Break (2006) and also the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist Big Stan (2007).
