Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler 28 June 1986. She had a turbulent childhood. In order to leave an abusive relationship, her mother left when she was barely 2 years old. Then she returned to the life of Pickler in 1995, and took custody of her. But it didn't go as it was originally planned. Her grandparents took care of her from the age of 12 until the age of adulthood. Pickler was unable to parent her children when they were absent. Pickler admitted that she no longer had time to read and began learning how to make a living as a homemaker from a very young age. Pickler participated in cheerleading at the middle and high school she attended. North Stanly High School graduated her in 2004. Pickler also tried her hand as a model.
