Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in America for more than 40 years. She is most famous because of her portrayal as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared when she made her stage debut. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. She also released her first music album It's Time for Tina that same year. Her first appearance into Hollywood was as Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's teacher. Her next role that she played was Ginger Grant, which CBS signed her up to play in the year 1964. Louise Balfour was able to juggle between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber character as opposed her perceived image as an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. But, over the last few years she has also become a renowned director of popular television shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. She was born on August 28, 1965, in Essex. As a young girl, three, her family relocated her to Toronto where she lived in the city for her entire childhood. After being chosen for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and was there ever for the last ten years.
